Triund Trek – A perfect destination to spend your vacation.

 

 

Location: Located in the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh, it is one of the most popular treks to go over a weekend just to take a break from the daily chaos of life.  And most importantly, people who wants are just taking a step into this thrilling experience of trekking, this trek is something that they should opt for. 

One can view the breathtaking Kangra valley and also the snow-capped ranges of Dhauladhar which is very appealing to one’s eye. 

Even the Triund trek is short but is also challenging because of the steepness. But just to compensate with the steepness of the trail, one can take a refreshing walk in the rhododendron and oak forest. 

One can enjoy the chirps of the birds and also for a keen nature observer, it is a complete delight.

Since this trek is a short also a popular one, it is usually crowded during the weekends so one should consider it during weekdays because it is less crowded and one can enjoy the silence of nature to some extent during weekdays. 

Apart from this, one can observe the beautiful sunset in the pine forest of the Himachal Pradesh. The different hues of dawn colors when are reflecting over the warm colour palette of the pine forest, it is a very trance experience and also the birds and animals returning back to their shelter adds a very peace and warmth in the beautiful view. 

Since one can easily McLeodganj, if one wants to trek more, they can easily opt for other trails as options as the connectivity is pretty good.

One can enjoy the amazing experience of stargazing at night and also sharing the tent with your loved and precious ones is also a very refreshing experience. 

perks: Dancing, singing and spending the gala time together with your groups is something one can find this as a perfect place to go for and also watching sunrise in the Himachal ranges which is a very astounding view and watching the basic life of the nearby villages can turn out to be a very moving experience. 

Best time to travel: Apart from the monsoon seasons, from the month of July, August and the peak winters of January, February, this amazing trek can be done around the year. The spring and summer months of March to the month June are the best months to go on this trek. 

things to remember/carry: One should remember to One should wear warm and comfortable clothes which are suitable or you to match the weather condition as the temperature can even sometimes drop in that place. One should pay attention to the instructors and the guides and consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicants is prohibited. 

One shouldn’t do trekking at night. And also should carry some basic medications with them. Energy bars are recommended to carry during the trek and also one should bring surplus amount of moisturizer, lotion, sunscreen with them. One is also advised to wear the sunglasses during the daytime and since the place is an eco friendly zone, the villagers and the local town people do not encourage nor entertain people littering in the sites or near the campsites. 

One is also advised to take a proper consult from the physician before starting the journey.

The trekkers and the travellers are also advised to carry some medical ailments.

One is advised to follow the guidelines of the state governments.

The trek is about 12 KMs but is steep so one if wants to go for this thrilling experience, they should better watch their pace of feet also keep their health in mind. 

One should also carry a small shovel with themselves so as to remove feet of snow if in case there is an unpredictable heavy snowfall. One doesn’t have a washroom facility or the toilet facilities in the Triund trek. One should carry a backpack of about 40L to 60L and it should be waterproof. 

One should take care of their waste as the entire location for a very eco friendly method. One should also have atleast 10 tablets of Crosin in their medical bag so as to cope up with frequent headaches which is very common in this trek.
