Mustard: its seeds taste, bleed, and help digestion

Mustard seeds are known in our country primarily as the basis of a flavoring agent. However, less is already known today about their healing effects.

Occurrence: the original distribution areas of mustard are southern Europe, western Asia, and other Mediterranean places. Thousands of years ago, however, it began to spread north.

Description and active substances:

Mustard is an annual plant of the cruciferous family, the branched stem of which can grow up to a height of 1 m. The flowers are arranged in grape inflorescences and have a golden yellow color. They appear from June to July. The fruit is a pod that contains yellow seeds. These include fatty oils, the glycoside sinalbin (which may cause its sharp taste), enzymes, mucilages, essential oils use for mens health or use Fildena 100 or Fildena 150 to improve libido, proteins, and minerals (calcium, potassium, or magnesium).

Useful parts: mainly seeds are used, but sometimes also young leaves.

How do mustard seeds affect our health?

Mustard seeds are known in our country primarily as the basis of a flavoring agent. Less is known today, however, about their healing effects, which, of course, people knew. It was used mainly in the form of tiles, i.e., crushed into oil. In this way, they can contribute to the blood supply to deeper organs (e.g., kidneys, lungs, or pleura). They are therefore also recommended for acute airway inflammation. However, tiles can also help a person with other ailments.

Mustard, resp. You should not miss its seeds at home if you suffer from rheumatic diseases or if you suffer from leg pain for a long time. Also, they can also help to eliminate some skin problems (e.g., yellow spots). However, mustard seeds are mainly consumed and have an internal positive effect on the digestive system. They help the body with the production of gastric juices and have a positive impact on intestinal peristalsis. Also, they can relieve us of constipation.

Please note: mustard oils usually cause various discomforts after prolonged contact with the skin. For example, blisters often appear.

Use of mustard seeds (and leaves)

We have already mentioned that mustard seeds are the basis for a flavoring preparation known as mustard. It exists in many variants, but in general, it has (thanks to other ingredients) a sharp, sometimes very hot taste. Mustard seeds can also be purchased separately and are a well-known kitchen spice. Some also help to improve love life or use Fildena 120 or vigora 100. However, they are also used in the production of oil but also beekeeping. Spring leaves can then be used for salad. So if you have a whole plant at home, definitely do not throw the leaves. They contain fiber so that you can help good digestion with this part of the plant.

Mustard seed tea recipe for good digestion: pour about three DCL of boiling water over one teaspoon of crushed seeds. Then let it infuse for a quarter of an hour and drain. However, it would help if you only drank the infusion once a day.

Growing mustard                                                                   

This is an undemanding annual. You can therefore grow it in the garden every year without any significant problems. The seeds should be sown in March, optimally in light sandy loam soil containing lime. Mustard is suitable for heat and dryness, so it usually does not do well in a humid environment. Fertilization is not absolutely necessary, but you can use nitrogen products. When the capsules turn brown, and the seeds inside turn yellow, it is ideal for harvesting.
